The Problem
Indian SMEs spend 15-20 hours weekly on manual bookkeeping in Tally. Data entry is tedious, GST compliance is complex, and generating insights requires manual report analysis. Most accountants aren't tech-savvy enough for complex integrations.
Our Solution
We created a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects any AI assistant to TallyPrime. Users can speak commands like "Create invoice for Sharma & Sons, ₹50,000, 18% GST" and the system handles everything. Natural language queries like "What's my receivables this month?" get instant answers.
Technical Difficulty
TallyPrime's XML-based API is notoriously difficult to work with. We reverse-engineered undocumented endpoints and built a robust abstraction layer. Voice recognition for Indian English accents and Hindi-English code-switching required custom training data.
